Lancaster Arts and Civic Club Announces Open Auditions for Treasure Island

Open call auditions for Lancaster Arts and Civic Club’s 2017 production, Treasure Island, will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church lower level in Lancaster, Ohio. Auditions will take place Monday December 5th from 7pm to 9 pm and Tuesday December 6th from 7 pm to 9pm.

All roles are open to anyone over the age of 10 and of any gender. These rolls will remain open until the end of auditions. Performances will take place the week of March 6th, 2017 at Ohio University Lancaster at the Wagner Theatre. The production will feature young Pirates of the Caribbean!

Director Christopher Hughes aims to have a cast and dancers that will transport audiences to the Caribbean through dynamic theater. “Treasure Island lends audiences a chance to take a break from reality,” commented Christopher Hughes. “Audiences will discover a different type of theater through this adaptation of Treasure Island. The actors who are cast will be challenged to provide dynamic elements to the show and I am excited to start working with them,” said Hughes.
